Here's to the A

So you all might be shocked to hear that I have one more birthday girl to say "Cheers" to! My other best friend from home, Allison, celebrated her birthday yesterday. I have known Allison probably since kindergarten or first grade when we were in the same Girl Scout troop. I switched elementary schools in 2nd grade, and ever since then Allison has been one of my best friends. Our parents live about 5 houses away, we talked on the phone everyday after school(after spending the whole day together and riding the bus home together) and she used to drive me to school in high school. Allison is a part of my best memories from high school and some from college, and is always part of the story when I wonder how we got ourselves in some of the situations we did. Unfortunately we weren't able to get together this weekend - I think partly because she's trying to ignore this birthday - but I look forward to getting together sometime soon to celebrate. I know that I am so lucky to have Allison in my life, a friend who will drop everything going on to make a beach trip when I needed an escape and some time away. Although we don't speak as much as we use to things are exactly the same when we see each other and I am so glad I have friends like Allison that just get me. So here's to the big 2-6 that you can't ignore, best friends that are always always always there for you, and the A that completes AFE!
