My dad and I packed up and headed out of town on Friday afternoon. We road tripped it to Jacksonville, FL to see my sister, brother-in-law, and awesome nephew. This trip is my dad's first time seeing his grandson, and we brought Petey, so it was his first time too. It was quite the drive down on Friday, with lots of DJ responsibilities shared between my dad and I. We got in pretty late Friday night, so we just hung out for a little while then headed to bed. Saturday morning we hung around, had some breakfast, and baby M slept on my chest for a little while before we ventured off base. There is a cool outdoor market under the 95 bridge called the Riverside Arts Market here in Jacksonville, so that was our first stop. You can check out our visit to the Arts Market through pictures below. The thought of fried Oreos is something that makes me feel kind of sick, so I just had to try them without thinking too much about what I was eating. They were so good, probably the best treat I've had in a very long time. After the Arts Market we rode around downtown, stopped by some random neighborhood for another snack and window shopping. We finished the day with dinner at the Ale House where something fantastic happened at the hostess stand. My brother-in-law went to put our name on the list, while holding the car seat, he told the lady we had 4.5 in our party. She actually wrote it down as, Leeds party of 4.5. It was a great day, it's been a great weekend, and I don't want to head back to the real world tomorrow.
