I am pretty sure I was on one of the last flights to land in STL on Friday night before the tornado hit Lambert. P lives about 20 minutes from the airport and I think the tornado had already hit the airport before we got home. That flight ranks as one of the top two most terrifying flights I've been on. And the other one was with Vietnam Air. That's just scary in itself. We didn't realize how close we were to the tornados, but luckily we survived, although 2 of the girls never made it to St. Louis. But everyone was safe, even Sooze who had to spend the night in a Detroit Best Western by herself.
It was a great weekend, but it definitely went by too quickly. I finally got to meet P's best friends from home, and they're pretty fantastic. Of course she knows how to pick them, she's one of my best friends. We hung around the house and dodged tornados on Friday night. Bummed around until lunch on Saturday. St. Louis style pizza is fantastic. Who knew St. Louis had its own style of pizza. Shopped a little, napped a little, then got ready for dinner. After dinner we came home and played bachelorette games and loaded into the limo. A night of bar hopping and hilarity in the limo to celebrate P's upcoming wedding. Good times for sure. And then of course there was lots of couch laying and a Say Yes to the Dress marathon. All in all, great weekend, and I've been paying for it on my day off today. Welllll, except that little break I took to lay at the pool for a few hours. Oopsy.
