A year ago today

I was getting ready to leave work early to start my trek down to Florida because I had just gotten a call that my sister was heading to the hospital in labor. I remember telling my boss I would be gone for a couple of days and hopping in my car, driving the 8 hours in my work clothes and heels and beating the nugget here. When I got to the hospital everything was kind of in a standstill and I like think that my nephew was just waiting for everyone to arrive before he made his entrance into the world. And when he did, he was pretty much perfect. I hated leaving him to come back to NC and still want to cry when I have to leave him now. He is amazing and cute and it's hard to describe how much I love him when he isn't even mine.

So happy first birthday to my favorite nugget in the world. Can't wait for his birthday party this weekend!
