I knew it had been a long time since I have posted, but I didn't think it was almost a month! I've received a few threats, so I figured I'd hop on here and post something. P - don't delete me!
Below is a little taste of what I've been up to lately.
Obviously Thanksgiving happened - and it was glorious. We had a friend Thanksgiving the weekend prior to the real day, and we went all out. Everyone contributed something, even the guys. We set up a big table in my friend's apartment and everyone had a spot at the big kid table. One of the girls made us go around table stating what we were thankful for and we had to say one nice thing about the person to our right. That was fun and it's always nice to hear your friends say something nice about you. My friend Paige and I were in charge of the turkey. I refused to touch it, so I took multiple pictures on my phone.
The Saturday after Thanksgiving NC State played Maryland in football, and I was lucky enough to get an invite to the game. My friends have a pretty sweet connection to State football so we enjoyed the game from one of the boxes after a bit of tailgating. It was fun to go to a game at a bigger football school, especially when the team you're cheering for has one of the biggest comeback wins in conference history. After the game we went out downtown and I was able to meet up with a bunch of friends from home. I hate that I rarely see them, even though it's only an hour away. And one of my girls was back in town from Chicago - I really don't remember the last time I had seen her. I loved that Saturday!
And my last show and tell item is a picture of my nephew climbing in my fridge the last time he came to visit. Plaid shirt, no pants, cute socks - I want his life.
In other news - my brother in law returned home from his Navy deployment last week!! I'm so glad he's home, safely, and will be able to spend the holidays with my sister and nephew. Seems like everything is back the way it should be now.
