It all started last Thursday when I headed to Durham to meet some college girls at the Durham Bulls game. One of my sorority sisters got married Saturday and my sorority "little" was in the wedding and in town. They invited me to their Thursday activity and it was awesome. Just a chill night watching baseball with old friends.
Evan Longoria is rehabing in the minors right now so we got to see him while he's with the Bulls. That was kind of cool.
The next day at work we had an all day golf tournament so I spent the entire day setting up/cleaning up, working registration, and then just driving around the course chatting with everyone. Despite the fact that I didn't stop sweating, I loved it.
I changed in the locker room at the golf course for a birthday dinner, so I'm sure I was looking my best. We went to Saxapahaw to celebrate a friend's birthday at the General Store. I think I ordered one of the more southern items on the menu - a plate full of mac and cheese, black eyed peas and spinach. After dinner we headed back to the birthday girl's house for drinks and cupcakes. It was definitely a long day but so fun.

Saturday I laid around the house and alternated between watching the Olympics and reading my first James Patterson novel. It was a pretty awesome day. I had to rush the end of the book so I could get ready to go back out to Sax for Saturdays at Sax. Just a lot of sitting around, drinking and eating and listening to local musicians with great friends. Honestly, what's not to love?
Sunday included a little church, a little lounging at the pool, a cookout that included the guys playing volleyball while the girls chatted and then lots of the XXX Olympiad. There was a lot of difficulty putting up the net so I quit pretty early on into that process...
Such a great weekend. I love my friends.
