A lot has happened in my absence from this blog. This post will be my attempt to catch up.
After I got back last Sunday from seeing my mom I had two papers left to finish for class, and two classes to finish out the semester. That was all fine until I also found out I was being sent with our softball team to the NCAA Regionals in Athens, GA this past week. Tuesday night for class we went to the low ropes course on campus to do some team building activities. It was pretty fun, but all of us just kept thinking about how much homework we could have been doing during those 3 hours. Wednesday was the day I was planning on leaving for Athens, driving down before the team to make sure everything was set for them. Wednesday was also a ridiculously stressful day because there was just too much to do. After lots of coaching from my friends I emailed my professor to be excused from class - I apologize Curtis for missing your presentation - turned in my paper, hurriedly packed for GA, and hit the road to my college roommate's apartment for the night. I finally made it to Charlotte right before Kimmy was ready to go to bed, so I got to see her for about an hour maybe?
The trip to GA was kind of a whirlwind, lots going on and a lot of softball to be watched. I was glad I was sent down there and enjoyed the experience and meeting new people. Again, it was kind of nice to get out of town for a few days. I got back after midnight on Saturday and when I woke up on Sunday I realized that I had not one thing I absolutely had to do. So I spent the day with my friends Whitney and Gray, grabbed lunch then laid around on his couch, then grabbed dinner and laid around some more. I don't think it's going to take me too long to get back in the routine I had before starting classes, which could be bad when July rolls around.
You deserve some downtime. Enjoy it! You have worked hard at work and school. I am very proud of you!
